1998 Hanoverian Main Studbook Mare; Black– 16.3 hands; By Weltmeyer out of Bodega by Brentano II.
Profile. We are thrilled to welcome Weltmarlina (“Marlina”) into our Breeding Program. She is on lease from Suzanne Quarles’ Some Day Soon Farm. Marlina, imported from Germany as a yearling, is an impeccably bred Hanoverian mare by Weltmeyer and out of Bodega by Brentano II. Brentano II was a champion stallion at Verden in 1985 as a 2 year old. He is by the famous sire Bolero who was a foundation Hanoverian sire who passed on to his progeny nobility, lovely gaits, and a talent for dressage. One of Brentano’s successful dressage offspring is the mare Brentina who won the individual and team gold at the Panamerican Games in 1999, and who in 2001 achieved the highest grand prix score ever by an American horse. Marlina is a stunning black mare with beautiful conformation. She has a lovely overtrack at the walk and impressive reach at the trot. She also has an easy-going temperament that is a joy to work around. We will be breeding Marlina to Hilltop Farm’s Royal Prince this season.
