Raven came to the Rescue in November 2009. She was part of a 22 horse humane seizure in Howard County, Maryland. Sadly, the owners of that farm were unable to care for the large herd and the horses were found wormy, starved, matted with burrs and unsocialized.
As soon as Raven starting eating nutritious food and learned that human attention is a positive thing — she quickly opened up and has since blossomed here at the Rescue. Raven is a love. She is curious and playful and smart. She has learned to lead and to trot in hand in the round pen. She has a beautiful thick black coat, a sweet feminine head and a cute trot. Her temperament indicates that she will be easy to start under saddle. She will probably finish around 14.3-15 hands. Raven is now ready to show in hand and is ready to start under saddle this summer.
