International Sporthorse Registry/Oldenburg North America Inspection at Shepherd Farm on August 26, 2010.
Shepherd Farm was proud to host an International Sporthorse Registry/Oldenburg North America Inspection on the afternoon of August 26, 2010. We were privileged to have International Judge Christian Schacht judge our inspection. Schacht is an Equine Veterinarian and a licensed German Reitlehrer FN. Judge Schacht brought equestrian expertise from his active involvement in Germany as a Licensed Judge, prominent speaker and author.
It was a glorious day at Shepherd Farm for the Inspection and all of our preparations paid off with beautiful results. First, congratulations to Claudia Mucklow, owner of Davignana who was awarded Premium foal status. Judge Schacht remarked on Davignana’s beautiful, modern feminine type and stunning movement at the trot. Davignana is out of Shepherd Farm’s Premium Oldenburg approved mare Always Katelyn and by Bridlewood Farm’s DaCaprio.
Shepherd Farm’s Wramona Q was awarded Premium Mare status with the high score of 106. Judge Schacht remarked on her impeccable conformation and overall lovely feminine type. Wramona Q (bred by Suzanne Quarles at Some Day Soon Farm) is currently in foal to Tagaelen, a stunning Trakehner stallion owned by Kelley Willemze of Ontario, Canada.
Shepherd Farm’s Farethewel and Some Day Soon Farm’s Weltmarlina were accepted into the Main Studbook with the high scores of 102 and 103, respectively. Farethewel is in foal to Hilltop Farm’s Negro and Weltmarlina is in foal to Hilltop Farm’s Royal Prince.
Finally, Judge Schacht commented that Shepherd Farm’s Little Eve LS, by Some Day Soon Farm’s Loerke and out of Shepherd Farm’s Farethewel was one of the top foals that he had seen this year nationally. We are very proud of Treveri’s granddaughter Little Eve.
It was certainly a rewarding and fun day at Shepherd Farm which was capped off beautifully by branding our foals, the barn door, and the tack room entrance. Thank you to all who helped with our special day.
